We just released the video for the High School Shoutout.   This one was even more planned and edited by students than previous videos!    I'm looking forward to doing even more of these as students come up with ideas for future editions.    We are really proud of the students that are involved!  Click here to watch.

Dawson Student Films Club Meetings at Dawson County High School!

Wednesdays! 

3-5pm in room E5!  

After one meeting at both middle schools I can tell we are going to be off to a fast start!   We have scripts going in both RMS and DCMS that look great.    We're working on "friendship" at RMS and "bravery" at DCMS.    Jake H's script is looking great and we are even looking at ways to tie the two story lines together so that the films can be watched together!  

We are challenged with a couple of production issues, though (as usual!).   One of the scripts calls for a bulldozer and I'm praying that someone will help us out with that.   I have a few leads and am diligently working on that!   It's always fun and exciting!

We have big plans for January at all the schools.    I hope to have the DVDs back from our first two films at DCMS and RMS.   Each student in the club will get their copy at the club meeting.    It was a great start and I'm looking forward to starting back up in January.

Exciting news from DCMS!   Jake H. has begun writing a script which we will work on.   I usually gather ideas from the students and formulate a script, but this one is being totally written by Jake.    It's be the first Dawson Student Film that is completely student written.    It's definitely a milestone for us!    The students have talked about it and it sounds like a really great action film.   

We also have ideas for a film at Riverview and will be working on the script when things get started back up.   At the high school, we are going to try to start meeting wednesdays after school.   We'll see what happens there.
