Dawson Student Films is an organization that works with students in a variety of environments creating videos and short films. We currently have clubs in schools, summer camps, and we also work with teachers on specific class in school projects. 

The intention of Dawson Student Films is to create a positive environment for students to express creativity, learn project management and planning skills, get involved in their local and school community, learn to function as an effective team, build personal character, and develop leadership skills. We do this through a process of filmmaking that includes a variety of types, including in school promotions, educational character development films, creative short films, public service announcements, and potentially a full length feature film. Students are given opportunities to function in a multitude of roles such as director, script writing, production assistant, camera operations and many more.

The films created are intended for use in schools and other learning environments to help teach, inform, and inspire students to grow both in knowledge and creativity. Some films are intended to promote safe behaviors and awareness in a multitude of social issues.
